Daniel Cain, D.O.

Dr. Daniel Cain joined the Twin Springs Medical Center team in 2007.  He began his Obstetrics and Gynecology career as an Ob intern at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.  After residency training in Stark County, Ohio, he began practice at Southeast Ohio Regional Medical Center.  Dr. Cain returned to the area in June of 2000, and moved his practice to Massillon, Ohio, in 2003.

Daniel Cain D.O. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Dr. Cain provides all the benefits of traditional obstetric and gynecologic care, while treating the patient as a whole person, an approach characteristic of the osteopathic tradition of medicine. He also offers hands-on manipulation to help relieve muscle and joint pain. Dr. Cain is also able to provide his patients with the minimally invasive surgery using modern surgical robotics. These techniques offer much faster healing times and less pain than older surgical methods.

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Teri Mizer, APRN-CNP

Teri is a graduate of Detroit Mercy University with Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1987. Prior to receiving her BSN, she graduated of Providence Hospital School of Nursing with a Diploma in Nursing. After working in Obstetrics for a decade, she realized her desire to advance women’s health and went on to earn a Master’s of Science at the Ohio State University in Maternal and Child Health Nursing. Teri then worked at the Ohio State University Medical Center in a variety positions as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Instructor for the College of Nursing. She furthered her education earning a Post Master’s Certificate as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 1996 and is Board Certified by National Certification Corporation. Since that time, Teri has worked as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in various health departments and free standing clinics providing family planning and gynecology services for low income women. Teri has worked part-time at Twin Springs OB/GYN since 2007 providing preconception care, early pregnancy care, family planning, menopausal care along with the diagnosis and treatment of common gynecology problems. In addition, Teri provides services for the Med Spa at Twin Springs. Teri has served a preceptor for Graduate Nursing students from local universities. Also Teri is certified in Basic Life Support and is a member of several professional organizations. Teri lives in Cadiz with her husband and has 2 adult sons. She is active in her local Lions Club and the Women in Action Movement that raises funds for uninsured women needing gynecology services.

Ceritified Nurse Midwife

Lee Ann Bristow, APRN-CNM

Lee Ann is a graduate of Fitchburg State University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. After working in a variety of nursing specialty areas she found herself in Obstetrics. Her passion for caring for pregnant and laboring women led her to midwifery. In 1993, she graduated from BayState Medical Center Nurse Midwifery Education Program where she earned her Certificate in Nurse Midwifery. Lee Ann worked as a CNM in her home state of Massachusetts prior to relocating to Ohio in 1996. In 2005, she graduated from Philadelphia University earning a Master of Science with a Concentration in Midwifery. She was an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant from 2010 to 2020. Lee Ann is Certified in Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, and has Prescriptive Authority. She provides full scope midwifery care including prenatal care, labor support, deliveries, and postpartum care as well as annual well woman exams, contraceptive counseling and initiation, testing for sexually transmitted diseases and care through the menopausal years. Being a 14-year breast cancer survivor she is passionate about women’s breast health. Lee Ann lives in Orrville with her two Dobermans, Gibbs and Grace, and her 5 cats, Stormy, Sprite, Nina, Fallon and Pearl. In her spare time she enjoys reading, basket weaving, puttering in her yard, and training her dogs in Scent Detection.
